The Academy for Engineering is literally a cornerstone of the TU campus, where Jaffalaan and Rotterdamseweg intersect. This is a location where a welcoming and attractive building comes into its own. A publicly accessible facility, open 16 hours a day. This has been a strategic project for The Hague University of Applied Sciences: they wanted to put themselves on the map by building the most sustainable building in the Netherlands, an example for technological education of the twenty-first century. A building with an attractive technical appearance. The archetype of the closed bastion for studious individuals has been transformed into a transparent laboratory full of interaction and inspiration.
